Paths to Deep Decarbonization

Health care and educational Institutions are recognizing their climate leadership role and are committing to deep decarbonization goals. This panel will examine the different ways this has or will be achieved, while recognizing different ages and building types that exist on a campus. Panel members will discuss the different solutions for varying building types that have been achieved or are underway, and will provide their strategies, and technologies within case studies that focuses on their target levels at each institution

Director of Facilities Operations at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL). Responsibilities include energy and sustainability program planning in conjunction with day to day facility operations. I worked in the energy field for energy management consultants Prior to joining CSHL .
New York State-licensed professional engineer with 25 years of engineering, construction, and operation experience. I’ve been involved in many energy related projects focusing on the feasibility, development, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. I specialize in mechanical and electrical systems including heating and cooling systems, controls and automation, distributed generation systems, district heating and cooling systems, cogeneration, and microgrid solutions .
