This session will include a presentation on the benefits to organizations participating in ENERGY STAR, followed by presentations by a major university and two large industrial companies on their energy management programs and initiatives to engage building occupants.

Dave is currently employed by Raytheon Technologies as a principal energy engineer. He is a member of the Raytheon Missiles and Defense (RMD) Energy Team responsible for energy and water management of the RMD business, which includes over 10 million square feet of office, laboratory and manufacturing facilities. He also has a key role with Raytheon Technologies’ company-wide energy team and has managed Raytheon’s ENERGY STAR partnership.

Dave has a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of New Hampshire
(1984) and an M.S. in mechanical engineering from Northeastern University (1989). He
is a registered Professional Engineer in the state of Massachusetts, and a Certified
Energy Manager (CEM) with the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE). He previously worked as a mechanical engineer for Raytheon Company in Sudbury, MA, from 1985-1991, then as a general engineer for the U.S. Department of Energy in Boston, MA, from 1991-1997.

Dave was recognized as the 2014 Energy Engineer of the Year by the New England Chapter of the Association of Energy Engineers, and received an Environmental Merit Award from EPA New England in 2016. He decided to pursue an energy career while taking a 1980 UNH course entitled, “Man and His Environment” and actively encourages others to consider careers in the energy and sustainability fields.
