Joseph is a career energy efficiency professional and proven business incubator. With degrees in physics and masters in management, he was a founding member (1979) of the Assn. of Energy Engineers, a former regional VP and remains an active member. Joseph is a CEM plus 4 additional AEE certifications. He is a trained Tax Advisor by ETS and LEED Accredited Professional.
Joseph began his career performing 1000 commercial audits in the USA. The second phase of his career expanded greatly in the mid '80s, computer technology replaced traditional building controls working in technical sales for Andover Controls and Carrier Corp. As the energy industry evolved, Joseph learned the financial side while selling investment grade energy performance contracts.
After incubating energy efficiency small businesses for two decades, Joseph joined leading utilities to deploy energy efficiency programs for Eversource, National Grid, RG&E, CMP and others. His primary role was identifying and approving utility incentives and customer-focused technical support. He had several special assignments including Incentive program design, go-to-launch strategies for new technologies including the design and launch MassSave Application Portal on the Salesforce CRM platform.
Leadership: Joseph served as VP (2002-04), President (2004-06) for the local New England Chapter and as US V.P. for the Mid-Atlantic Region (2016-18).
Two common threads in Joseph's career are energy efficiency and business incubation. He now adds Electric vehicle charging installations with a veteran-owned small business, Fulcrum Energy. Joseph seeks to leverage his skills to implement successful energy and sustainability plans for commercial, institutional and industrial customers in the government and private sectors.
