Kate Michaud is the Town Manager of the Town of Warren, Rhode Island, where she manages all departments and day-to-day operations. Ms. Michaud is a graduate of BMC Durfee High School in Fall River, MA and holds a degree from Providence College. She has completed studies at the University of Rhode Island’s Institute for Housing and Community Development and the Creating Collaborative Solutions Program at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. Ms. Michaud is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) and holds a certification as a Climate Change Professional (CC-P). She serves on the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee for the RI League of Cities and Towns, the Steering Committee of the Narragansett Bay Estuary Program, and is a Trustee and a member of the Risk Management Committee for the Rhode Island Interlocal Risk Management Trust. Ms. Michaud is also a Senior Fellow at the University of Rhode Island’s Coastal Institute. Ms. Michaud has served in Rhode Island municipal government for more than 21 years. In 2022, Warren was awarded the Environmental Achievement Award by Save the Bay and Ms. Michaud was recognized as the Local Leader of the Year by RI Clean Water Action.
