The Energy Entrepreneur - How to start your energy business and live to tell about it!
AEE members include many energy professionals who have struck out on their own and successfully developed businesses that offer services and products to the industry and some of them have built empires! This presentation covers the initial steps in establishing a business in the energy industry and outlines how to get started. Topics covered include skills inventory, market evaluation, developing the value proposition and sales. We will discuss product or service delivery and pricing. We will also touch on basic business legal matters, bookkeeping, accounting and basic insurance issues. Finally, we hope to encourage a lively discussion with attendees that helps answer questions and provide encouragement to those attendees looking for guidance starting their own energy business.
