Sustainable Energy as a Service: Own the Solution, not the Equipment

Abstract After a 15 minute presentation participants will understand a new way to implement comprehensive, multi-measure energy and water efficiency upgrades at their facilities. Specifically, participants will:
• Understand the financial, technical, operational and sustainability benefits associated with the implementation of comprehensive energy and water efficiency upgrades under a Sustainable Energy Services Agreement (SESA) versus traditional capital budgeting.
• Review the legal and financial nuts and bolts that underpin SESA projects and describe how they enable off-balance sheet accounting treatment, de-risk projects and generate positive cash flow.
At the end of the presentation, we will leave time for questions.

As Business Development Director, Kip is responsible for generating sales of new projects and helping drive the growth of Metrus’ energy and water efficiency pipeline. Prior to joining Metrus, Kip was the Bend Director for Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO) where his focus was on helping industry make capital investments in the region.
