Track C- Decarbonization and Electrification Strategies
Session C3: Facility Decarbonization and Electrification Success Stories
June 26, 2025 | 2:00 pm - 2:30 pm
Where to Start: Initial Campus Electrification Projects for Quick Implementation
Many organizations have set goals towards decarbonization, but those goals are often followed by uncertainty on where to start. This presentation is designed to give attendees new tools for turning their Decarbonization goals into actionable projects by sharing strategies and case studies for initial, scalable electrification projects. Topics covered will include identifying near-term actionable projects for quick successes, how old, failing equipment and infrastructure can actually be a benefit, identifying and developing funding sources and how these strategies can be applied to make projects scalable. We’ll illustrate how to identify building-specific opportunities and constraints and illustrate these in practice through case studies of completed scalable electrification projects for leading university and healthcare campuses.
